Awesome food and staff! Best steak ever. Highly recommend the Ribeye, and the oysters, and everything on the menu. Have not had a single item from here that wasn't perfect. The staff is great and really this is mu favorite place in town, by far.

The food was incredible! Atmosphere was nice!

Quaint little restaurant with delicious food. I'm a big fan of the sweet potato fries, a sweet flavored dip of some kind would make them even better.

Met my best friend for my birthday lunch. Food was DELICIOUS!!!!! Service was excellent, and atmosphere was comfy, and relaxing.

Fantastic filet. The service was a little slow, but not being in any hurry it wasn't a bother.

Very dissapointed with this restaurant. I ordered coffee it was cold. I wanted black Sea bass was told it was endanger fish and the chef didn't want any from Japan. It's on there menu but you can't get it. A quick Google search didn't support his story.. I did get the tuna which the taste and texture was good but once again it was cold. The scallops were great and real scallops. My date had angel pasta with shrimp hers was perfect.

This was my first time there and the food was amazing.Our waitress Lindsay was also. I will be going back.

Came here for a retirement party and had loads of fun. Unassuming atmosphere for the location. Very upscale and trendy. My meal was superb and cooked exactly to my specification. Bravo

Wow!! Is this place really in Wilson??!! Great food, great restaurant! LOVE the shrimp and grits for dinner!! Also enjoyed the chicken apple sandwich at lunchtime. Good lunch prices too.

Ordered the tuna and it was outstanding. Service was great! Crabcakes and asian slaw were delicious. Reasonably priced. If you want to sit at a table, make sure you make a reservation on Fridays. We were seated quickly at a cocktail table in the bar area and had a great dining experience.

I have eaten here two times. Once for lunch and last night for dinner. It’s honestly the best food in Wilson, hands down. To ice the cake though I accidentally dropped two pieces of asparagus from my fork to the floor and when I came back from the bathroom the wonderful bartender had gone to the kitchen and got me two fresh pieces of asparagus. It was hilarious and thoughtful at the same time. I highly recommend checking it out.

Came in for dinner last night and the place was packed. We didn't make reservations (highly recommend doing this) so there was a slight wait but the hostess Dana was superb in making sure we got a table as soon as possible and personally brought us drinks while we waited! The service was great, our server clearly had multiple tables but answered all our questions about the menu and made sure we had everything we needed in a timely manner. The food speaks for itself but I'll back it up by saying "WOW!" I had the ribeye and my guest had the shrimp and grits. We are still debating on who had the better plate. Next time I'm in town I will definitely be back.

Good food and excellent service. I called on short notice for a large party and they accommodated us when no one else would on a Friday night. The service was exceptional.

High compliments to chef Daniel Bass and the entire staff!We have dined at Daniels on several occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp & grits from the dinner menu. Last week I went to lunch with friends and experienced the absolute best tasting crab cake sandwich on brioche bun that I have ever eaten!

Contemporary Southern cuisine well made. Good flavors. Steaks are great, pecan crusted chicken is fantastic. Nice atmosphere. Good selection of beers on tap from microbrews to domestic. Food is always consistently good.

I was with a group of approximately 10 and we had reservations and were seated very quickly but then things slowed to a crawl. Drinks order was taken after waiting a good while, refills came even slower. We were given a small menu (see photo) with only four choices.. that’s it! After an hour wait we finally got out food and it was good but I caution you if you order the pecan crusted chicken, it is very very very sweet. Too sweet for my taste anyway! Mashed potatoes were good and the fresh green beans were very tasty. I may return if I was with a group again but not my choice if given the opportunity to pick. Update - 11 months after my review the owner/manager replies with the below. That says a lot within itself! My two stars just dropped to one. !

Service is always fantastic! They take care of you at Daniels! Highly recommend Daniel's for a delicious meal! Everything on the menu is super tasty and the nightly special are always super creative and scrumptious. Make sure you make a reservation because there's never a night that they aren't busy! Great atmosphere and great food one of the best restaurants around!

This used to be a very good place to eat and enjoy the atmosphere. But not anymore. Food has gone down hill. Service stinks. Food is the same ALL the time. He used to change the menu with the seasons now it's just repetitive and bland. Takes forever to get a drink or anything else. Would not recommend. Stopped going and it used to be that I would recommend to anyone. Definitely not worth the money.

Just okay! Got the Cajun chicken sandwich, chicken was over cooked (very tough). Wait staff severely understaffed or undertrained in time management. Overall, okay food for a decent price as long as you have a couple hours to kill for lunch.

Surprisingly good food. Awesome and creative menu executed flawlessly the chef owner and amazing front of the house service by the wife of the chef. Familiar, elegant and a true delightful culinary experience.

This is Wilson's Hell's kitchen. Food is awesome, staff is awesome . You can tell when the chef cares about what they serve. He cares! And it shows!

I went with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday at this place. It was our first time trying this place. The overall experience was just average. I had the pecan encrusted chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. All that sweetness from the chicken tasted weird with the mashed potatoes. I wasn’t much of a fan but I really loved what my boyfriend got. He had pulled pork quesadillas. It was really good. I also got a watermelon martini, that was good. The atmosphere seemed a bit lifeless but the waitress was nice. I don’t think I’ll go here to celebrate a special occasion.

My wife and I had a very good meal ,the service was good and a nice atmosphere

Meals were fresh and enjoyed the red pepper sauce over spinach and potatoes. Shrimp appetizer was good but shrimp were a bit rubbery. Waiter could use some improvements but overall very good. Would return.

Will be glad when it reopens for Dinning... There Clam Chowder is FANTASTIC.... 😁

We had a great meal in Wilson, NC at this wonderful restaurant. We drive to Florida every fall and back to NY every spring. Wilson's is one of our stops thanks to finding Daniel's in the fall of 2018.

First class food and service! Not far off of I-95 in modest little Wilson, North Carolina, is this magnificent gem of a restaurant. Try their She-Crab soup when available, or Smoked Scallops on creamy corn puree, Asparagus Bundles (wrapped in crispy bacon), or a phenomenal Duck Breast with cherry sauce. Outstanding, and well worth a side trip if traveling to or through eastern North Carolina.

I once again find myself trying to justify poor service. Do appreciate that owner reached out to me and I will go back as I did today.

Great food but our service was terrible. We were seated and had no silverware or napkin. We ordered the half salad before our entree and received the full salad, my wife's entree arrived 2 minutes later. We never saw our waitress again and we served by the hostess. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is for the quality of our meal. The salmon I had and my wife's crab cakes were very delicious. I'm debating on where or not we'll give it another try

Really great food. On the smaller size for seating, especially when the patio is not open. Well worth the wait.

Great service though the kitchen is a bit slow if you are there when they first open. Portions are definitely fine dining sized. Prices were around $23 to $36. Meal was very good.

Food was good and service was good, but we had reservations for a group of us and they totally forgot the reservation. Had to wait about an hour for a table. So if you make a reservation make sure to confirm before you arrive. I like Jack's grill better.

We had a retirement celebration in the back room on May 3rd, 2018. Everyone we interacted with was nice and professional and helpful. Our waitress was AMAZING! So very warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the food. Those of us who had not eaten there before asked lots of questions and she never faltered. She never messed up even one of our 14 + different orders and made sure we had everything we needed the entire 3 hours we were there. The food was cooked perfectly, I did not hear even the tiniest of complaints all evening from anyone. Thank you for helping us celebrate and doing a fabulous job!

Wow.... All 4 meals were scrumptious. Service was stellar. All tables looked like they were having fun. Daniel's helped make this Saturday night enjoyable.

Where do I begin. My husband and I went out for our date night to this place. We wanted to try a new place and since I saw almost 5 stars we went. First, it took almost 30 minutes just for drinks. Then I ordered the crabcake entree. The crabcakes were more flour than crabmeat, the "garlic mashed potatoes" tasted like instant potatoes and my asparagus was burned. For the prices of the menu items, it was not worth it. I have eaten better food at Applebees, Ruby Tuesday or any other restaurant where the price of the food was worth every penny. I also went to culinary school so I know the difference in how food should taste. WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN! Don't waste your money. The worst part about this experience was I was sick to my stomach all night after eating there. I was literally in the bathroom for about an hour at any time. Horrible experience!!

Great food! Nice service! Sit at the bar if you don't have reservation. The Kicking Mule is top-notch! Had the shrimp and grits and the beet and fried feta salad. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Been to Daniels several times and always impressed with service, atmosphere and food. It can get a little loud in the main dining room, but still great place for a romantic dinner. I usually end up getting the special, but cant go wrong with any steak or seafood on the menu. If they are making some risotto for the special, I would highly recommend. The food is always delivered hot and perfectly cooked. I also like that Daniel's has a few craft beers on tap, which is hard to find in Wilson. Overall, it is by far the best restaurant in Wilson and highly recommend for a date night or special occasion. It is more expensive than other Wilson restaurants, but its always worth the extra money to me.
